The Evil in Events

Graham Kimani,
It has recently been researched and found out that during big events people tend to come in large numbers and with huge ‘hunger’. This has been observed in events such as the Safaricom 7s series such as Masaku and Princeloo 7s that happens annually in Machakos and Nakuru or famously known as Nax Vegas respectively.
Team ‘Mafisi’ usually tend to come in large numbers so as to pick up or hang out with the uncontrolled ladies or ladies who have passed out due to excessive drinking,
Not only in events, nowadays people who go for clubbing have picked up that trend of making out in clubs and even doing dirty dances in the clubs.
Some clubs have even gone to the extent of bringing professional female club dancers famously know as strippers to satisfy a customer’s need not only physically but also visually.

The Wedding Day

This is one of the most awaited days in one’s life or preferably the couple. This day is usually planned with so much care, patience and sacrifice.
This eventful day usually planned as it usually starts from the brides preparation and also as well the groom’s preparation. Every moments tend to be caught on camera since might never occur again.
After all the preparations the bride and the groom head to exchange the vows in a church or in the modern setting people tend to undertake the vows session and the reception at the same location so as to save on time and cost.
Afterwards the exchange of vows and the couple has been declared husband and wife they head for the photo session then the reception. Guests (women especially) usually go and welcome the newly wedded with songs and dances and cheers in their celebrations.
During the reception the most ‘important’ session of the reception, cake cutting, usually happens. People tend to leave after that session but after all their appearance is usually so much of importance to the newly wedding.

The most awaited day of the year,31st December, when people welcome a new year with all types of ‘hypeness’. So many events and activities take place during that day.
From clubs to churches and even hotels are usually packed for the celebration of the New Year’s Eve.
Most of the towns usually come ‘alive’ from evening. Take an instance of Naivasha. Most of the hotels are usually booked and most of the events tend to take place there on the new year’s eve.
‘Party by the Lake’ an event by Sakata camp and Eco lodge is one of the biggest events happening this 31st December near the lake. The event has one of the biggest MC in Kenya, Amina, and a lineup of deejays who rock parties around Nairobi.
Furthermore, they also have various activities to keep the party ‘lit’ these are activities such as boat riding, pool table, touch rugby just along the Lake Naivasha’s beach. Also photography of the event will be catered for so as to keep memories. This is one party no one wants to miss.
Tickets are going for 1000/= regular and 2000/= for VIP.

The Money In Event Organizing

Graham Kimani;

Nairobi is one of the Cities known for its ‘hypeness’ especially when it comes to events since most of the people residing in that place tend to be ‘wild ones’ when it comes to attending entertainment events.

This has led to Event Organizing being one of the growing business in Kenya currently. Event organizers have vested in this business in many ways. This happens especially in Nairobi where a lot of events seem to take place almost every single day.

We spoke to the C.E.O of a known event organizing company and he is also a deejay in the industry for his known event called Hakuna Matata Festival which happens thrice in an year says that most of his profits comes from the charges of the entrance, sponsors and those who want to put up their business at the venue of the event.

Also companies have started venturing in events for instance Safaricom and Capital fm who usually organize Safaricom Jazz Festival and The Koroga Festival  respectively

The rise of this business has become alarming that fraud stars tend to con fans and sponsor who are interested in their ‘event’
